Is the information on Comploa legal advice?
No. Comploa's pages and tools are general information about Indian rules, linked to official sources. They explain how a rule usually applies; they are not legal, regulatory or tax advice for your specific product. Rules change, and how they apply depends on the exact model, its specifications and where it is made. The decision of the competent authority always prevails. Read the disclaimer before relying on any page.
How should you use the free tools?
The approval checker, cost estimator, fee calculators and other tools give an indication based on the facts we hold on the date you use them. They do not replace reading the rule or checking with the authority. Check the result against the linked sources before you act on it, especially for fees, deadlines and borderline products.
What can you do with Comploa content?
You may read, print and save pages for your own business use, quote short extracts with a link back to the page, and share links freely. You may not copy pages or datasets in bulk, republish them as your own, or scrape the site in a way that degrades it for others. Our data pages say how each dataset may be reused and cited.
How do paid compliance plans work?
Before you pay, we confirm in writing the product and model the plan covers, the price and the delivery date. A plan reflects the rules and the information you gave us on the date we write it. If we made an error in stating an official rule, we correct the plan free of charge. If the information you gave us was incomplete or wrong, the plan may be wrong too. Our total liability for a plan is limited to the fee you paid for it.
What about consultants and labs you introduce?
Consultants, labs, Authorised Indian Representatives and brokers we introduce you to are independent businesses. Any contract you make is with them, on their terms, and they are responsible for their own work. They may pay Comploa a referral fee. We share your details with a partner only after you agree.
What is Comploa liable for?
We work hard to keep every fact correct and dated, but we do not guarantee that any page is complete, current or right for your product. To the extent the law allows, Comploa is not liable for any loss arising from use of the free pages or tools, including held shipments, demurrage, penalties, delisting or lost sales. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
