A compliance plan is a written document for your exact product and model, for when you are about to commit money to an import. It covers:

• every approval the model needs, and why;
• the standard it is tested to and what the lab will ask for;
• the documents you need and who signs each one;
• official fees and typical private charges, shown separately;
• the order to do things in, with realistic timelines and the deadlines that apply;
• the labelling your product and box must carry;
• where shipments like yours usually get stuck.
