What does Comploa collect?
- Usage data: pages visited, approximate location, device and referrer, through privacy-respecting analytics (Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics). The site is served through Cloudflare, which also processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver and protect it.
- What you send us: your name, email or phone number and your product details when you fill in the compliance check form, email us, message us on WhatsApp or ask for a check.
- Alerts signup: your email address and the topics or product you chose, used only to send rule-change alerts.
- The free tools run in your browser; what you type into them is not sent to us unless you choose to send it with the compliance check form.
How does Comploa use your data?
To answer your enquiry, to prepare a compliance plan you asked for, to send the alerts you signed up for, to improve the site, and, only if you ask for it, to introduce you to a partner. We share your details with a partner only after you tick the consent box, and then with at most two partners chosen for your product. We never sell personal data and never use it for unrelated marketing.
Who else processes your data?
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and answer you: hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare), analytics, email, a form-processing service for the contact and alerts forms, and WhatsApp if you choose to message us there. They process data only to provide their service to us.
How long is data kept?
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted. Alert subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is kept in aggregate.
What are your rights?
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw consent, by writing to [email protected]. Every alert also has an unsubscribe link. We respond within 30 days.
Will this policy change?
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we update this page and its date. See also our terms of use and disclaimer.
